Accessibility
Tasteology is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML structure with landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) so assistive technologies can orient users and skip to relevant sections.
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Keyboard navigation throughout — including menus, sliders, image carousels, and forms.
- Visible focus indicators on interactive elements.
- Pause, play, and direct navigation controls on auto-advancing carousels.
- Respect for the user's "reduce motion" operating system preference.
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, and decorative images marked appropriately so screen readers can ignore them.
- Sufficient color contrast between text and background, including auto-contrast for brand-themed UI.
- Form labels, validation messages, and reCAPTCHA configured to be perceivable by assistive technology.
- Resizable text up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
